*50% seats to be filled by HNB Garhwal University through entrance test.

SYLLABUS : The syllabus for B. ED. Consists of six compulsory papers:

1. Teachers in emerging Indian society.
2. Development of learner & teaching learning process.
3. Development, 5 & 6.

Methods of Teaching : Two of the following school subjects are to be selected for theory and for practice of teaching.

A. Modern Indian Language - Hindi
B. Modern Indian Language - English
C. Social Studies
D. Mathematics
E. Geography
F. Economics
G. History
H. Civics
I. Home Science
J. Teaching of Science


Practice of Teaching : A total if 40 lessons, twenty in each subject mentioned under syllabus for B. ED. 5& 6.

Practical Work :

1. Handwork/ material and pyschological tests
2. Physical education practice & theory
3. Co-curricular activities/ project work on environment/ population education
4. 'Micro Lessons' fill in each subject included in the forty lessons
5. First Aid Co-curricular activities includes
        1. Debates & Paper reading/seminar/quiz
       2. Music: Instrumental & Vocal
        3. Poetry/Folk dances
        4. One act play etc.
       5. Social work in any adopted village or as assigned to the student
        6. Cultural activities


Elective Courses: One elective subject may be chosed from the following

1. Population Education
2. Elementary Education
3.Environmetn Education
4.Alternative Education
5. Teaching of Values
6. Educational Adm. 7 Mgt.

Hostel facilities available for boys and girls separately.
